**Main purpose of the job**:

- To liaise with clinic staff; assist with clinic and patient data review and other study-related duties
- To do Quality Assurance and Quality Control duties

**Location**:

- **PHRU - Tshepong Hospital, Matlosana, Klerksdorp**

**Key performance areas**:

- Liaising with clinic staff and research team for efficient data collection
- Maintaining a good working relationship with local clinic staff
- To do Quality Assurance and Quality Control duties for Clinical Research
- Monitor data captured, across all studies in Matlosana
- Create, amend and provide staff with tools: i.e. checklist and tracking logs to ensure the prevention of mistakes
- Provide training to staff in areas identified as risks areas and manage trends
- Establish through the DQMP clearly defined Data Quality Control Procedures and Policies for the entire team
- Ensure protocol specifications in line with the project are met with regards to the data captured
- Manage duplicated records reports and send queries to the relevant study team
- Manage delinquency/missing forms report and query sites
- Manage re-queries arising from inadequate initial responses to queries
- Ensure that queries are resolved with the stated timelines

**Required minimum education and training**:

- **Matric**:

- **Qualified as an Enrolled Nurse**

**Required minimum work experience**:

- **1 Year’s experience in clinical research**:

- **1 Year’s experience in doing Quality Assurance and Quality Control**

**Professional body registration**:

- Registered with the South African Nursing Council

**Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities**:

- Good Clinical Practice/Human Subject Protection certification advantageous
- Ability to lead and work independently as well as be part of a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility to adapt to changes in study requirements
- Computer literacy
- Willingness to learn
