**Exciting Opportunity for a Finance Team Lead**

We're on the hunt for a dynamic **Senior Financial Controller** who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to make a mark in the financial world.

**What we're seeking**:

- Qualified Accountant
- 6+ years in an accounting / finance related role
- Proven experience leading and inspiring teams of highly skilled accountants.
- Expertise in financial control environments, including mastery of P2P processes, seamlessly navigating monthly management accounts versus budget challenges, and effortlessly overseeing annual statutory reporting and audits.
- Familiarity with D365 is a huge plus, but if you've demonstrated exceptional skills with other ERPs, we want to hear from you
- A hands-on problem-solving champion who seizes opportunities to identify issues and propose ingenious solutions.

**Preferred backgrounds**:
Telecommunications, manufacturing, or retail industry experience is highly desirable. However, if you've conquered the financial intricacies of other detail-oriented sectors, we encourage you to apply

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Expertly manage month-end close against a well-defined timetable.
- Deliver a flawless and efficient month-end close process.
- Lead the review of financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations with finesse.
- Ensure unwavering adherence to the highest accounting standards.
- Safeguard accounting policies and procedures like a vigilant guardian.
- Take the lead as the primary point of contact for auditors during interim and year-end audits.
- Elevate the output of the AP team, driving improvements for enhanced reporting and control.
- Collaborate with warehouse and inventory management teams to fortify controls and procedures.
- Play a pivotal role in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for ERP (D365) and other key systems.
- Foster direct engagement with the Commercial Finance Team, providing vital information for detailed month-end commentary, budgets, and forecasts.
- Showcase your prowess by preparing the first version of monthly Management Accounts in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Provide invaluable support to the Financial Director in ensuring accurate accounting for VAT and other taxes.

**Office location**: Bryanston, Johannesburg (In-office role).

**Contract duration**: 12 months.

**Travel required **to the UK to meet the team.
