**About the team**:
We are the engine room of FinCrime, using our powers to analyse our customer's behaviours, build a Fortress for the protection of our customers against Financial Crime and providing the business with relevant insights into developments in our regions and adequate measures to prevent and detect Financial Crime from happening.

**Your role in a nutshell**:
**Your mission will be**:

- Define business
- and operational requirements as well as systems goals through collaboration/partnership with advisory/decision makers, systems owners and end users (Financial Crime)
- Identify and establish scope and parameters of system analysis to define outcome criteria (solutions) and measure taking actions;
- Filter, prioritise and validate potential complex material from multiple sources (internal and/or external);
- Manage business requirement expectations between Financial Crime and respective stakeholders (Product & Engineering) in order to achieve deadlines and setting the acceptable criteria;
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for Luno's reputation including the safeguarding of Luno, it's customers and assets by aligning and vetting compliance with the applicable rules, laws and regulations set out by respective regulators;
- Analyse current and future system processes, gaps in capabilities as well as appropriate data sources, system interfaces and process changes required to address capability gaps
- Generate quarterly reporting and compile results based on findings, including probable causes and potential solutions;
- Provide advice, best practice and counsel related to Financial Crime technologies and operations of the business. Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards;
- Have the ability to query data results consumed by our existing systems and the ability to articulate the data into a interpreted problem with a suggested solution;
- Supporting Luno's Financial Crime efforts and improvements of our controls across multiple regions.

**In the first 3 months you will**:

- Garner an introduction and in depth understanding of our Financial Crime Risk controls and mitigations.
- Have the opportunity to understand the cryptocurrency sphere, industry and how Financial Crime attributes to this space.
- Identify and establish scope, parameters of system analysis to define outcome criteria (solutions) and measure taking actions.
- Analyse current and future system processes, gaps in capabilities as well as appropriate data sources, system interfaces and process changes required to address capability gaps.

**You will enjoy this role if you have**:

- 3 Years or more with experience in managing of Risk & Fraud controls
- Proven track record within the Risk and Fraud environment
- An appetite and experience in managing large sets of data with experience in managing complex problem statements
- Experience in driving internal and external systems onboarding from start to finish
- Managing of effective monitoring and continuous planning of projects
- SQL Server experience
- Must have the ability to perform analysis and provide a synopsis when managing qualitative and quantitative data
- A clear understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle
- Development and aggregation of system infrastructure
- Ability to perform analysis and testing, and an appetite to vet automation with necessary stakeholders
- A sound understanding of systems & software ElasticSearch
- The ability to think retrospectively and an understanding of how systems may impact customers
- A willingness and desire to get things done right for the team and Luno
