Duties/Pligte
- Managing his/her staff on shift: time and attendance, etc.;
- Knowledge of Performance Appraisal and completing said documents;
- Proactively patrolling by motor, motorcycle, bicycle and on foot;
- Proactively identifying, investigating, following up, and recordkeeping of high-risk circumstances that can jeopardise the safety of Stellenbosch University's property and community;
- Alarm and camera monitoring: intense knowledge of all systems within the Ops Centre;
- Recommending process improvements within the area of responsibility;
- Acting as enquiry and reference point for Stellenbosch University during patrols on campus;
- Providing timeous reaction for standby duty where emergency services are deployed on campus;
- Assisting Departments with fire demonstrations and safety talks;
- Managing compliance to all contract provisions;
- Managing all departmental logistics and reporting all defects to the Manager immediately.

- Aanbeveling van proses verbetering binne die area van verantwoordelikheid;
- Dien as navraag
- en verwysingspunt vir US tydens patrollies op kampus;
- Lewering van tydige reaksie vir bystanddiens waar nooddienste op die kampus ontbied word;
- Hulpverlening aan Departemente waar branddemonstrasies en veiligheidspraatjies gehou word;
- Bestuur die nakoming van alle kontraktuele vereistes;
- Bestuur afdelings logistiek en rapporteer dadelik alle gebreke aan die Bestuurder.

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
- Matric;
- Valid registration with PSIRA;
- Proven security and control room experience;
- Grade B security training;
- Excellent verbal communication skills in at least Afrikaans and English;
- Clear criminal record;
- Good physical and phycological health;
- Willingness to work shifts;
- Willingness to provide extra services as required from time to time;
- Capability to interact on a strategic level with clients;
- Adaptability to work within a team and good interaction with members;
- Proven social skills with examples of social interaction activities;
- Skillset and flexibility to accept majority decisions and assist in executing such decisions;
- Computer literate.
- Graad 12;
- Geldige registrasie by PSIRA;
- Bewese sekuriteits
- en beheerkamer ervaring;
- Graad B sekuriteitsopleiding;
- Uitstekende mondelinge kommunikasievaardighede in minstens Afrikaans en Engels;
- Geen kriminele rekord;
- Goeie fisiese en psigiese gesondheid;
- Bereidwilligheid om skofte te werk;
- Bereidwilligheid om ekstra dienste te verrig soos van tyd tot tyd vereis word;
- Kapasiteitsvermoë vir interaksie met kliënte op 'n strategiese vlak;
- Aanpasbaarheid in spanverband en goeie interaksie met spanlede;
- Bewese sosiale vaardighede met voorbeelde van sosiale interaksie aktiwiteite;
- Vaardigheid en buigsaamheid om meerderheidsbesluite te aanvaar en bystand te verleen in die uitvoering van hierdie besluite;
- Rekenaarvaardig.

- A valid Code EB driver's licence;
- Computer literacy;
- Skilled in the use of MS Outlook, Excel, etc.
