- Ensure that an EHS management system is established, implemented and maintained in accordance with ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015 standards and requirements as per Company Responsible Care System.- Responsible for RC codes: RC 0 Organization, RC 06 Environmental Protection.- Deputy Responsibilities for RC codes: RC 03 Occupational Safety, RC 04 Occupational Health and RC 07 Emergency Response.- Maintenance of all relevant EHS documented information and records (retained information) i.e. reports, Risk assessments, audit reports, etc.- Guide, support and work with other managers/process owners (both line and staff) to formulate EHS policies, procedures and relevant documents.- Provide direction and guidance to all staff with regards to all aspects of EHS disciplines.- Provide EHS orientation and other relevant training and refresher training to new staff, existing staff, contractors, visitors, etc.- Manage and ensure compliance requirements are clearly communicated and obtained in terms of EHS requirements related to external contractors (Contractor OHS Agreements, Contractor Safety Files, etc.)- Manage and support Company (Pty) Ltd remote locations (Durban/Port Elizabeth/East London/ Cape Town/ Rosslyn) staff on issues related to EHS.- Ensure continual improvement of the SHEQ management system.- Ensure that all operational permits required by law are obtained and valid, maintained and that all related documents are updated.- Arrange with external auditing bodies for external audits: Environmental audits (ISO 14001:2015), Safety audits (ISO 45001:2018),- Environmental and Safety Legal Audits & Legal Register, etc. to be conducted in line with requirements. Participate in all external RC Audits- Conduct relevant internal audits - Boksburg & remote locations- Arrange Industrial Hygiene survey as per schedule and assign corrective actions to responsible persons.- Arrange & facilitate RC and ISO Management Review meetings.- Ensure proper ground water and soil contamination monitoring as per required frequencies.- Conduct, support and/or participate in Risk Assessments (HiRa, Work Permits) as and when required.- Global reporting as per required frequencies: GID, RIR, EHS - company scorecard, Safety incidents, etc.- Initiate requests for goods & services (PPE, signage, Fire equipment, etc.) and services (Fire equipment, Borehole monitoring, auditing, etc.) related to EHS- Establish requirements, issue and control Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), follow up on inspections.- Participate and contribute on relevant EHS aspects with regards to Project teams for plant upgrade projects, SHE Reviews, MOC’s, etc.- Monitor service of fire protection equipment, first aid boxes and first aid rooms, spill kits & signage.- Review and update Environmental Aspects & Impacts register.- Conduct EHS, RC, etc. related training as and when required.- Conduct Incident Investigations and do the necessary reporting.- Emergency Team Coordinator and ensure the proper handling of crisis communication in line with Company (Pty) Ltd requirements- Compile, implement and update RC documents

**Inherent Requirements**
- National Diploma in Production and Operations Management (NQF level 6); National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (NQF level 6)/Safety Management (NQF level 6)/NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety/SAMTRAC or similar;- Relevant training regarding management systems requirements for ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018- A minimum of 5 - 7 years’ experience as a EHS Manager working in the Chemical manufacturing industry or similar environment- A minimum of 5 years’ experience with relevant legal licensing and permit requirements (e.g. Air Emissions Licenses, Industrial Effluent discharge licenses, etc.); Project management experience to lead, drive and implement projects to identify, reduce or eliminate risk**What Qualification**
