What the person must be able to do:
This role is in the Manufacturing sector. All duties would take place in this context.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies
- Conduct supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract management
- Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery
- Monitor and control inventory levels and stock replenishment
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs

Key Job Deliverables:

- Cost-effective procurement of goods and services
- Quality supplier relationships and contracts that meet quality and delivery requirements
- Optimal inventory levels and efficient stock management

Qualifications & Background work experience:

- Bcom & CIPS accreditation
- Expertise in running a large scale manufacturing procurement operation
- Ensuring compliance with procurement processes and preventing loss and fraud
- Optimising procurement processes, supplier selection and contract negotiations
- Ensuring the company has the best suppliers in the industry and also ensuring backup suppliers
- Advantageous: Inventory and Warehouse Management
