- Summary of role_: Ensure the smooth running of the servicing and repairing process that all products are serviced and repaired to the specified specifications and to achieve the required targets and deadlines. Keeping adequate supervision of jobs and quality checks during and through to completion.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
Ensure that the production/jobs are on schedule and be constantly aware of the production/job requirements in the workshop.

Ensure that the daily production job target has been reached within the workshop.

Prepare production/job reports as required from Management.

Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe working environment.

Ensure that maintenance schedules of the machines are on track and that the machines are serviced and maintained on time.

Accountable and responsible for the quality control of jobs in the department.

Constantly monitor jobs and tools/machines used within the department and make sure that the correct parts and tools are used.

Carry out production management.

Control duties by recording the movement of jobs.

Identify production backlogs or short falls in quantities.

Ensure that all work done in production is on standard and adheres to quality standards.

General assistance and cohesive working with the Service and Repairs Manager as well as Service Advisors and Quality Supervisor.

Train and improve all workers skills and make sure that all workers are trained and up to standard.

Ensure the workshop adheres to all of the requirements of OHSACT.

Manage, develop and motivate direct reporting staff.

Ensure good communication is given, either verbally or written to all members of staff.

Liaise with Store Foreman on material, equipment usage and parts required to support job completion.

Keep general workshop materials stocked in conjunction with Stores Foreman.

Ensure workshop staff understand the job specification/s, requirements and time frame to complete the work on time.

Support workshop staff in completion of jobs and further skills development.

Sign off job cards as complete.

Forward job cards to Quality Supervisor for final sign-off.

Constantly monitor job completion requirements and updates.

Co-ordinate any overtime work required.

**Desired Experience & Qualification**
Matric (essential)

Tertiary Qualification: Production Management/Industrial Management or similar (beneficial)

Applicable Completed Trade - Boilermaker / Journeyman / Welder / Diesel-Petrol Technician (beneficial)

Minimum 5 years’ experience, preferably as a Foreman in the production or workshop environment

Computer Literate in MS Office (essential)

Syspro proficiency or similar ERP system (essential)

Drivers license (essential)

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Pretoria, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (required)

**Experience**:
