Maintenance Supervisors install, maintain, and perform maintenance tasks on customer premises’ which include service stations, residential houses, commercial properties, flats, and offices from broken tiles, windows, uneven paving, leaking pipes, door locksets, carwash equipment, painting of walls, waterproofing.

Primary focus is on service station general and building maintenance. Work includes equal portions of plumbing and construction.

Work rotation will include after-hours on-call duty in assisting other techs. A significant portion of the work is done outdoors in all weather conditions.

**Duties and responsibilities**

Personal qualifications and attributes necessary for successful performance in this role include:

- Must have the ability to obtain certifications on customer PTW and Worksite Safety Training.
- Must be able to complete pre-requisite training first aid, firefighting, working at heights.
- Previous experience in maintenance supervisory position.
- Communication skills directly with customer and management
- Must have a minimum of one (3) year maintenance experience.
- Electronic and computer skills is required.
- Valid driver’s license, and satisfactory driving record required.
- Willing and able to travel when necessary.
- Ability to perform the four basic arithmetic operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
- Ability to work with various hand and power tools.
- Ability to interact with store personnel, customers, and management in a professional courteous manner.
- Ability to supervise a team of technicians ensuring work is done correctly and effectivley.
- Must be able to work flexible hours such as weekends, on-call, evenings and holidays.
- Must be able to problem solve and find a solution to problems on site.
- Must be able to complete required paper work and give feedback in an appropriate timeframe.
- **Must be able to estimate quantities and provide quotation information.**

- Building and Plastering
- Replacing of tiles in small areas
- Waterproofing
- Painting
- Carpentry (Cabinet installations etc.)
- Concrete and tar work
- Report writing
- Plumbing
- Ceiling and cornice repairs and installation

**Salary**: R10,000.00 - R15,000.00 per month
