Duties Include but are not limited to:

- Ensure that all service stations (multiple) across the group operate in an efficient manner;
- Keep track of all maintenance issues and ensure they are rectified timeously;
- Review daily, weekly and monthly sales reports and balancing of shifts and ensure sites resolve these issues timeously and feedback;
- Review daily, weekly and monthly stock take reports;
- Review all mystery motorist reports, with an aim to improve customer experience;
- Conduct spot check on merchandise to ensure that all merchandise is correctly priced;
- Ensure that the service stations have the highest standard of operations at all times;
- Review daily checklists and provide feedback to Site Managers;
- Work with Site Managers in developing topics and content to be covered during toolbox talks.
- Lead weekly meetings with the sites in the group and give feedback to the directors.
- Set site specific growth targets and monitor these as well supporting these;
- Assist Site Managers design site specific promotions and competitions;
- Ensure all service stations participate in National and Regional promotional activities;
- Conduct regular competitive pricing;
- Maintain a good relationship with suppliers;
- Develop systems to ensure customer retention;
- Ensure credit control for all account customers;
- Ensure that all supplier invoices are honoured;
- Review invoices and credit notes inputs;
- Ensuring that all sites have the strictest level of controls and that these are being audited on a regular basis;
- Assist with daily price update batches;
- Review GRV’s;
- Ensure Fuel Control by assisting Site Managers coordinate fuel deliveries;
- Ensure that fuel prices are adjusted accordingly after price change;
- Ensure that goods are received accurately;
- Ensure that shelves and fridges are fully stocked and in accordance with site planograms; Ensure that that there is a succession plan for all supervisors and Site Managers by training employees with potential to work in such roles;
- Maintain service standards as prescribed by the Oil Company;
- Attend to training sessions hosted by the Oil Companies and service providers;
- Support all SETA training initiatives and ensure that all service stations follow the training agenda. Ensure that all health and safety equipment is available and in good working condition.
- Ensuring that all safety certificates are renewed timeously.
- Ensure that all sites always have compliant and updated HSSE/HSEQ files in place.
- Make recommendations to the Directors on any issues arising out of running the business in a profitable and efficient manner;
- Implement and maintain all necessary security measures;
- Attend to dealer council meetings;
- Perform other tasks that are consistent with the expansion of the business such as, adding new product lines;
- Ensure all businesses maintain a healthy cashflow.
- Being available to managers when in doubt or for advice or assistance with challenges on site.

Experience & Requirements:

- Previous or similar related experience
- Minimum 5 Years + Fuel & Retail Operations / Management / Assistant Management experience
- Related experience and exposure with full site management functions incl Fuel, Convenience Shop / various Franchised Fast-food & Retail outlets
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
- Fuel/operations management system experience
- Driver’s License (required)
- Energetic with excellent health
- Knowledge of Health and Safety (industry related)
