**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Skills Development**
- Attend weekly status update meetings with the Training Cluster Executive
- Ensure that the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) and divisional processes are up to date and that staff are adhering to the policies and procedures
- Work closely with Training Force and other training providers to ensure optimum use of funding received from the SETA / Funder
- Manage the learner “drop off” by ensuring that learners attend classes and do not “drop off”
- Identify funding opportunities with other SETA’s / funders that we are not currently working with (this would incorporate funding for the Group’s entities)
- Manage the discretionary funding implementation process once awarded i.e. recruitment of learners, identification of hosts etc.
- Ensure that the Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) with the SETA’s are signed, filed and extended where necessary
- Develop and maintain relationships with key individuals at the respective SETA’s
- Monitor the progress of all projects nationally and complete monthly reports required by the CEO
- Compile monthly reports required for Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) reporting purposes
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Attend monthly profit and loss meetings to ensure revenue and expenses are correct and are in line with the set budget
- Ensure that projects are being managed against the budget and review the accruals on a monthly basis to ensure that they accurately reflect the projected income
- Update the tax break actuals against the budget and target on a monthly basis
- Ensure that the correct evidence/paperwork is submitted to the SETA’s together with the invoices to ensure timeous submission for payment
- Manage departmental expenses i.e. rent, payment of commissions etc.
- Manage all HR/IR functions relating to staff
- Identify and recruit new staff as when required
- Provide guidance and support to the Project Managers and staff within the department
- Perform any other reasonable duties as and when required
**Strategic**
- Develop Business Unit’s strategy to achieve long-term goals / objectives
- Execute the Business Unit’s strategy by developing action plans to effectively execute / implement
- Plan and review working practices / operations to ascertain if it is successful and if not, devise alternatives
- Implement procedures and processes to maximize operating efficiency and productivity
**Financial**
- Draw up and manage the Business Unit’s budget
**Transformation**
- Execute the Business Unit’s B-BBEE strategy by managing the implementation of relevant initiatives. Strategy needs to focus on all elements of the scorecard
- Ensure that the Employment Equity Plan for your Business Unit is implemented and that objectives are met
**Human Resources**
- Objectively measure and manage the performance of staff within the Business Unit
- Identify, attract and retain talented staff and staff in key / critical positions
- Ensure that succession plans are in place for critical and scarce skills positions within the Business Unit
- Identify areas of development of staff and ensure that training and development plans are implemented that will benefit the Business and upskill staff
**Other**
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory bodies, legislative requirements as well as good business practices
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Ensure that a Delegation of Authority Framework is in place for your Business Unit and that approvals outside your scope of Authority are in line the Group’s Delegation of Authority
- Implement and manage efficient and ethical internal financial and business controls and governance
