Furniture Showroom Assistant Sales Consultant

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Furniture Showroom Assistant Sales Consultant. As a key member of our showroom, you will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting and purchasing furniture pieces that meet their needs and preferences. Your exceptional interpersonal skills and product knowledge will contribute to creating a positive shopping experience for our customers while achieving sales targets.
**Responsibilities**:
1. Customer Assistance:
- Greet customers as they enter the showroom and provide a warm and welcoming environment.
- Understand customers' requirements and guide them through the selection process.
- Provide expert advice on furniture styles, features, materials, and overall design aesthetics.
- Assist customers in measuring and visualizing furniture placement within their living spaces.
- Answer product-related inquiries and address customer concerns promptly and professionally.
2. Sales and Revenue Generation:
- Actively engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable furniture pieces.
- Utilize product knowledge and sales techniques to upsell and cross-sell related products and accessories.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of current promotions, discounts, and financing options to maximize sales opportunities.
- Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets on a regular basis.
- Process sales transactions accurately, including invoicing, payment handling, and order placement.
3. Showroom Maintenance:
- Ensure the showroom is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
- Arrange furniture displays and create attractive visual merchandising presentations.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to the showroom manager.
- Collaborate with the showroom team to maintain accurate product pricing and signage.
4. Product Knowledge and Training:
- Stay updated on the latest furniture trends, industry news, and product features.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
- Share product insights and recommendations with customers and colleagues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in interior design or sales is a plus.
- Proven experience in retail sales or customer service, preferably in the furniture industry.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish lasting relationships with customers.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Passion for interior design and furniture, with a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Basic mathematical skills for processing sales transactions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient computer skills, including point-of-sale systems and Microsoft Office.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift furniture throughout the workday.
**Salary**: R8,000.00 - R15,000.00 per month
