**ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN (MUST RESIDE IN CAPE TOWN)**

**Duties**
- Design and generate electrical schematics including panel layouts for control panels and control systems in order to be wired and installed on site by workshop staff.
- Able to work overtime when required to do so by management.
- Attend to electrical breakdowns at short notice when required.
- Where required assist with electrical installation work on site.
- Assist with project planning, quotations and ordering of equipment.
- Assist with commissioning new installations on site.
- Customer support.

**Skills and experience**
- Previous experience with 2D electrical design software such as Autocad electrical, Eplan, Solidworks etc.
- Good understanding of control systems and sound knowledge of PLC’S, VSD’S, softstarters and related equipment.
- Able to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
- Fast learner and willingness to learn.
- Electrical or instrumentation trade test or similar qualification.
- 5+ years’ experience.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good customer liaison skills.
