**The B2B team seeks to appoint a Technical Manager**

**As a Technical Manager you will be responsible for the following activities**:
**Strategy**:

- To design the long term plan for the B2B, Technical division (together with Investment and related teams)

**Marketing: Customer Sites - Construction and Engineering**
- Implement statutory legislation requirements and TotalEnergies Group rules, policies and best practices in all construction works including HSEQ requirements
- Plan, prepare and carry out construction work for all B2B projects on annual basis
- Manage the contractors, consultants, architects and equipment suppliers, follow up on their performance and adherence to the set deadlines and budgetary guidelines

**Preventative and Corrective Maintenance**
- Maintain the B2B assets cost effectively, maintain equipment to their original state of repairs and on time
- Define and categorise equipment that would require preventative and corrective maintenance
- Set contracts for the preventative and predefined maintenance (in collaboration with purchasing)
- Oversee corrective maintenance through the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Engineer
- Oversee preventative maintenance through the team of qualified and experienced engineers and technicians

**HSEQ**
- Manage the implementation of HSEQ programmes to ensure constant adherence and compliance to the Company’s HSEQ and security standards, any local by-laws and government legislation so as to minimise all risk pertaining to the company assets and stocks, to be an excellent corporate citizen, remain operational and ensure the safety of all people

**People Management**

**Governance**
- Ensure effective risk management and internal control, including asset management, for area of responsibility

**General**
- Ensure critical skills and positions are identified
- Ensure succession plan is in place for direct reports, and update job descriptions at least every 2 years
- Ensure the annual employee review process includes a review of employee career plan and development plan
- Ensure direct reports understand and comply with procurement policy and procedures, and that non-compliance to procurement procedures will be addressed
- Ensure that business rules for Asset Management are adhered to, the monthly AUC report is acted upon.

**Context and environment**
- Management of all engineering and construction projects and maintenance of assets for B2B. The engineering and maintenance activities are managed through optimal utilisation of all resources including all service providers. This is aligned to the strategic path with due consideration to the legislative framework, HSEQ, purchasing processes and effective service.
- B2B areas supported by the engineering team are: Mining (Fuel and Lubricants) assets; General Trade ( Agriculture; Transport and Construction & Other).
- Accountable for performance of the engineering and maintenance staff as well as contractors used in the process. All the activities are driven to achieve key business objectives, conduct all work in the safe manner, adherence to local legislations and Group standards and adhere to all internal processes with implementation of efficient controls of people and resources. Accountable for assets from the time the investment order is opened until the asset is in use.

**Required experience, qualifications, skills and attributes**:

- Qualification: BSc or BTech - Mechanical or Civil engineering
- 10 years general experience in the oil industry. Sound experience in the engineering, construction and maintenance
- High level of problem solving ability, negotiating skills, good communication skills, tenacity, ability to challenge and identify problems
- Sound knowledge of the local legislations, group and international standards in relation to the oil industry
