Ensures residents receive care in accordance with their individualized care plan and resident choice.

To carry out this essential function, the Caregiver:
Assists residents with all activities of daily living.
Provides care that maintains each resident at the highest possible level of functioning.
Lifts, moves, and transports residents using proper body mechanics or lifting devices.
Answers call lights in a timely manner.
Maintains supply and stock of all materials to meet resident needs in the household.
Follows standard precautions, proper infection control, sanitation and safety standards of practice in all work and activities.
Maintains a safe, neat, and clean environment.

To carry out this essential function, the Caregiver:
Cleans and sanitizes resident rooms and bathrooms.
Changes bed linens and does laundry.
Maintains clean spaces in the household, including common spaces such as the kitchen, hallways, living room, bathrooms, and spa.
Assists resident as needed with personal laundry (wash, iron, fold, sort).
Performs all job responsibilities in accordance with prescribed safety and infection control procedures, including thorough hand washing, use of disposable gloves where indicated, and proper disposal of soiled materials.
Promotes positive relationships with residents, family members, and coworkers.

To carry out this essential function, the Caregiver:
Observes residents closely, identifying changing needs and conditions at first indication, and reports immediately to nursing or household leadership, as appropriate.
Works with all household team members, led by resident preference to meet the needs and desires of all household residents.
Maintains the comfort, privacy, and dignity of the residents.
Interacts with residents in a manner that displays warmth and promotes a caring environment.
Summary of education, training, experience needed in the role:

- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Follows/adheres to organizational policies and guidelines, including attendance.
- Able to do basic math.
- Able to read, write, spell, speak, and understand English.
- Maintains neat, well-groomed appearance, adhering to company dress code.
