**IR/ER Intern**

**PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**

To Assist Industrial / Employee Relations Specialist with advisory services and to ensure adherence to employee’s relation policies and procedure and agreement.

**Requirements**:
❑ Matric
❑ Tertiary qualification in HR, IR, Labour Law, Industrial Relations (minimum NQF level 6)
❑ Knowledge of labour legislation (LRA, BCEA, EEA, SDA, etc.) 3 - 5 years’ HR, Litigation, and

IR experience
❑ LLB Advantageous
❑ Sage VIP usage or any other HR system Advantageous.
❑ MS Office Advantageous.

**COMPETENCIES**

❑ Good Communication skills and being polite.
❑ Understanding disciplinary issues and processes.
❑ Knowledge of South African labour policies and procedures
❑ Advise management of all legal requirements.
❑ Participate in employment contract agreements.
❑ Knowledge of dispute resolution and management of grievance processes.
❑ Encourage improved working conditions so that employees can be productive, safe and happy.
❑ Encourages ongoing conversation between the employers and employees to keep the work relationship healthy.
❑ Keep up with internal and external labour trends, sick leave trends, conduct counselling and grievances and associated process
❑ Having interpersonal skills.

❑ Being analytical.
❑ Having leadership skills.
❑ Being proactive.
❑ Having good negotiation skills.
❑ Being able to work with a team.
