**We are recruiting for a qualified and highly motivated International GCSE and A-Levels Geography Educator.**

**Position overview**: As the Geography Educator, you will have the exciting opportunity to inspire students in the fields of Geography, preparing them for International GCSE and A-levels examinations. Your deep understanding of global geographical phenomena will contribute to creating enriching learning experiences for our students. Join us in fostering a deep appreciation for the world's diverse cultures and histories.

**Responsibilities**:

- Curriculum Delivery**: Design and deliver engaging and student-centred lessons aligned with the school's curriculum framework, ensuring that the content meets the needs of a diverse student population.

**--- Geography**: An adept International GCSE Geography educator should possess extensive knowledge of global geographical phenomena and their societal impacts, while effectively integrating diverse case studies to enhance students' understanding of ecosystems, population dynamics, and global challenges. Strong communication skills and the ability to foster critical thinking are also vital for guiding students in analysing geographical data and maps, preparing them comprehensively for the International GCSE Geography examinations.

**- Classroom Management**: Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning, managing student behaviour effectively, and promoting mutual respect among students.

**- Assessment and Evaluation**: Develop appropriate assessment methods to evaluate student progress, provide timely feedback, and maintain accurate records of student performance to inform instructional planning and meet reporting requirements.

**- Individualised Instruction**: Identify and address the diverse learning needs and styles of students through differentiated instruction, providing necessary support and challenging opportunities for academic growth.

**- Cross-Cultural Competence**: Foster an inclusive and culturally sensitive classroom environment, promoting respect, empathy, and understanding among students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- **Parent and Community Engagement**: Establish effective communication channels with parents/guardians, providing regular updates on student progress, participating in parent-teacher conferences, and collaborating with the community to enhance student learning experiences.

**- Professional Development**: Engage in ongoing professional development activities to stay abreast of educational best practices, innovative teaching techniques, and global trends in education, and actively contribute to the professional learning community within the school.
- **Collaborative Approach**: Collaborate with colleagues and participate in team meetings, curriculum development, and school-wide initiatives to ensure a cohesive and enriching educational experience for all students.

**- Extra-Curricular Programme**: Actively contribute to the planning, coordination, and implementation of the school's extra-curricular programme. Offer guidance and support to students participating in various activities, including clubs, sports, arts, music, community service, or other areas of interest.

**- Student Engagement and Mentorship**: Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages student participation and personal growth. Serve as a mentor and role model, helping students develop leadership skills, teamwork, resilience, and a sense of responsibility.

**Requirements**:
**- Teaching Experience**: A minimum of two years of teaching experience at the relevant grade level or in an international school setting is preferred.

**- Instructional Skills**: Proven ability to design and implement effective, student-centred instructional strategies, utilising a range of teaching methodologies, technologies, and resources.

**- Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, enabling effective collaboration with students, parents, and colleagues.

**- Technology Integration**: Proficiency in integrating educational technology tools and resources into instruction to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

**- Ability to commute/relocate**: The Reeds, Centurion. (Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work).
