**We are recruiting for a qualified and highly motivated International GCSE and A-Levels History Educator.**

**Position overview**: As the History Educator, you will have the exciting opportunity to inspire students in the fields of History, preparing them for International GCSE and A-levels examinations. Your deep understanding of historical events will contribute to creating enriching learning experiences for our students. Join us in fostering a deep appreciation for the world's diverse cultures and histories.

**Responsibilities**:

- Curriculum Delivery**: Design and deliver engaging and student-centred lessons aligned with the school's curriculum framework, ensuring that the content meets the needs of a diverse student population.

**---History**:The ideal International GCSE History educator should have a deep comprehension of global historical events and their socio-political significance, along with a proficiency in crafting engaging lesson plans, fostering critical analysis of historical sources, and facilitating insightful discussions on diverse historical viewpoints. Strong communication abilities, a genuine passion for teaching, and the capacity to instil an appreciation for the intricacies of global history are crucial, complemented by a dedication to guiding students through exam preparation and enhancing their analytical and writing capabilities for success in the International GCSE History examinations.

**- Classroom Management**: Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning, managing student behaviour effectively, and promoting mutual respect among students.

**- Assessment and Evaluation**: Develop appropriate assessment methods to evaluate student progress, provide timely feedback, and maintain accurate records of student performance to inform instructional planning and meet reporting requirements.

**- Individualised Instruction**: Identify and address the diverse learning needs and styles of students through differentiated instruction, providing necessary support and challenging opportunities for academic growth.

**- Cross-Cultural Competence**: Foster an inclusive and culturally sensitive classroom environment, promoting respect, empathy, and understanding among students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- **Parent and Community Engagement**: Establish effective communication channels with parents/guardians, providing regular updates on student progress, participating in parent-teacher conferences, and collaborating with the community to enhance student learning experiences.

**- Professional Development**: Engage in ongoing professional development activities to stay abreast of educational best practices, innovative teaching techniques, and global trends in education, and actively contribute to the professional learning community within the school.
- **Collaborative Approach**: Collaborate with colleagues and participate in team meetings, curriculum development, and school-wide initiatives to ensure a cohesive and enriching educational experience for all students.

**- Extra-Curricular Programme**: Actively contribute to the planning, coordination, and implementation of the school's extra-curricular programme. Offer guidance and support to students participating in various activities, including clubs, sports, arts, music, community service, or other areas of interest.

**- Student Engagement and Mentorship**: Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages student participation and personal growth. Serve as a mentor and role model, helping students develop leadership skills, teamwork, resilience, and a sense of responsibility.

**Requirements**:
**- Teaching Experience**: A minimum of two years of teaching experience at the relevant grade level or in an international school setting is preferred.

**- Instructional Skills**: Proven ability to design and implement effective, student-centred instructional strategies, utilising a range of teaching methodologies, technologies, and resources.

**- Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, enabling effective collaboration with students, parents, and colleagues.

**- Technology Integration**: Proficiency in integrating educational technology tools and resources into instruction to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
