Machine Shop Supervisor

**MACHINE SHOP SUPERVISOR**

Our client based in the Vaal Triangle (Vanderbijlpark) is a Global Supplier in the Steel Industry is has a vacancy for a Machine Shop Manager with experience and the following requirements:
**Education and Experience**:

- Grade 12
- Qualified Artisan
- At least 10 years experience with in a machine shop environment.
- Supervisory experience
- CNC(Fanuc /Siemens) Experience
- Knowledge of Master cam will be advantageous
- Read and interpret drawings

**Duties & Core skills**:

- Do weekly planning based on information received from production.
- Book manpower based on planning.
- Do reloading as per operations are finished.
- Ensure maximum weekly sales output.
- Monitor and reduce overspending as far as possible.
- Monitor and reduce non-productive hours as far as possible.
- Report machine problems to maintenance as soon as possible.

**1. Quality**
- Ensure that all work is carried out according to Company’s quality standards.
- Ensure that all employees are trained on all Company’s quality standards.

**2. Tooling**
- Ensure sufficient tools are always available.
- Always strive to reduce tooling costs.
- Stay in contact with tooling suppliers regarding new tooling technology.

Physical Requirements:

- Prolonged periods standing, crouching, bending, climbing, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, and pulling in order to perform job.
- Physical fit to climb into and out of moulding pits.
- Be able to endure high and low temperatures
- Working as workload requires and shift orientated

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Primary (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Machine Shop: 10 years (required)
- CNC(Fanuc /Siemens): 5 years (required)
- Supervisory: 5 years (required)
