**Job Description**:
Our Cape Town team is led by a team of experts in, claims management and dispute resolution. With high performing business units in Western Cape.

**Scope of services**:
Specific competencies required
- Expert knowledge of the family of New Engineering Contracts (NEC);
- Extensive knowledge of the early warning and compensation event/ variation procedures;
- Extensive working knowledge of the principles of design and construction projects;
- Extensive working knowledge alternative dispute resolution processes;
- A solid background in construction science, business management as well as related work experience within the construction industry; Extensive working knowledge of contracts, plans, specifications and regulations;
- Computer literate and highly proficient with all software programs generally applied in project management;
- Good interpersonal relations to communicate with clients and contractors to effect satisfactory working relationships;
- Good communication and presentation skills, both verbally and in writing, to support effective communication with clients and contractors;
- Able to understand, transmit and follow written and verbal instructions;
- Able to handle stressful situations in a professional manner; and
- Extensive experience in:

- Dispute management
- Rebutting statements of claim;
- Contract administration; and
- Auditing.

Deliverables
- Direct the Contract Management activities of project team members in the execution of projects;
- Referrals and rebuttals as required for disputes;
- Audit reports;
- Minutes of meetings as required;
- Expert knowledge and advice

**Qualifications**:

- Professionally qualified in RICS, LLB, PMP, MSc. Construction Law or similar
- Experienced in working in multiple contract environments and under a range of procurement routes
- Knowledgeable in collaborative working practices
- Confident, approachable and patient delivery style
- Competent to present alone and to work as part of a senior training delivery team
- Confident in managing multiple stakeholder requirements
- Able to prepare, define and lead on training proposals, and work closely alongside Senior Management and the wider Turner & Townsend team
