- This role is responsible for the establishment and implementation of best practice in planning and scheduling for PMU projects in Anglo American Platinum Portfolio. Manage and interface with owner's team throughout the whole project lifecycle to ensure the successful implementation of the project.

**Job Description**:

- Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

- Ensuring alignment with other key elements / parties of the project e.g. Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, Cost Engineering, and Contractors/Service Providers.
- Assisting with the development of the WBS. Development of integrated project plan and schedules.
- Provide Contractors/Service provider with PMU scheduling standards and ensuring that submitted schedules align to requirements.
- Producing S-Curves of project schedules for inclusion on the Dashboards.
- Compiling monthly/weekly project reports and dashboards as required.
- Monitoring project progress and identifying issues or risks that may impact the project schedule or budget.
- Collaborating with the internal project team to develop and implement corrective actions to mitigate project risks and issues.
- Monitoring all associated detailed schedules, providing accurate reports on progress, variance to plan, root causes and remedial actions.
- Preparing Basis of Schedule for each stage of the project.
- Providing / validating benchmarks of durations.
- Coordinating with all relevant project team members and project stakeholders to define schedule requirements (accuracy, sequencing and level of activity decomposition).
- Resource loading where applicable.
- Ensure accurate baseline management in line with best practice and AA guidelines.
- Incorporate principles from the AA IDM scheduling standards or guidelines.
- Assessing risks to the critical path(s) and developing treatment actions including contingency to provide required levels of confidence.
- Assessing opportunities to optimize either or both the schedule and the estimate.
- Ensure alignment between schedule and cash flow / cost management.

**This role is a grade 6 level reporting to Senior Manager PMU**

**Qualifications**:

- You will need the following:

- Relevant degree / Diploma in Project Management / Planning.
- Certification in Project Scheduling Software i.e. MS Project and Primavera
- Post graduate - desirable/ advantageous.

**Experience**:

- 4-6 years’ experience in the following
- Construction / Engineering Project Management environment.
- Construction management experience.
- Project planning and Scheduling
- Proficient in Communication and Collaboration Skills, Conflict Management, Negotiation Skills Problem solving Analytical.
