**Summary**:
The Communications Manager will work with all departments in the company and with colleagues in communications role in other markets/regions to promote and enhance communications both to the companys internal and external stakeholders. The Communications Manager will be responsible for driving the implementation of the communications strategy (both external and internal), in line with key themes/messages as well as modes of communication and a cadence for communication at the market level.

**Skills/Experience required**:

- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong project management experience in corporate communications, marketing or similar function is required, ideally within an African/regional environment.
- Fluency in English. French would be a strong asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid drafting and writing skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to manage complex projects and high workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of evolving communications trends.
- Great at cross-functional collaboration and participatory group work.
- Excellent negotiation skills: ability to effectively resolve complex issues.
- Ability to formulate and effectively articulate recommendations to business colleagues.
- Excellent advocacy and negotiation skills and ability to effectively resolve complex issues.
- Exceptional ability to work as a team player and integrate with different departments and colleagues across the globe.
- Must be flexible to ensure the positions expectations and responsibilities are met.
- Self-motivation, creativity, curiosity to experiment, and a positive go-getter approach are a must

**Duties**:

- Assist with the development and driving deployment of the Africa Communications Strategy to support the companys business in Africa.
- Custodian of the Africa Communications Plan and timelines of internal and external communications across the Africa region.
- Provide guidance & collaborate with business teams to review, analyze, develop, and oversee communications project plans for internal and external programs.
- Managing the regional social handles and website contents in accordance with applicable internal policies.
- Consult and coordinate with outside communications advisors, and consulting companies.
- Consult, coordinate, and support internal teams on projects from a branding and communications perspective.
- Lead and implement corporate comms projects across the region (like roll out of company material, vision, mission, narrative, website redesign, company collateral, etc.)
- Implement a 360 approach to communications and brand management in line with Corporate guidelines.
- Facilitating communications standardization across the region.
- Assist in the response to inquiries, requests and actions by media and other external stakeholders when appropriate.
- Drafting, editing, proof-reading of all internal communications materials, including but not limited to internal messaging, talking points, brochures, sharepoint material, and videos and ensuring in line with the companys messaging, strategy, and policy positions.
