A Commercial vehicle Dealership in JHB currently has an opportunity available for a SERVICE MANAGER. The main purpose of the job is to ensure efficient and profitable operation of the Service Department by meeting the objectives that cover the Service Department’s operating policies and standards to achieve both high levels of customer satisfaction, retention and profitability.

**Position Overview**

The main purpose of the job is to ensure efficient and profitable operation of the Service Department by meeting the objectives that cover the Service Department’s operating policies and standards to achieve both high levels of customer satisfaction, retention and profitability.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Ability to control resources at a level commensurate with profit requirements and enhanced customer relations.
- Ability to maximise departmental profitability through the sale of labour and associated products to franchise and non-franchise customers.
- People Management.
- Supervision of staff, management of performance, discipline and other staff management related functions.
- Ability to ensure Service Department achieves budget objectives through weekly and monthly monitoring and control of accounts, operating controls and composite figures.
- Ability to ensure efficient operation of the Service Department through labour utilization, productivity and sales.
- Ability to ensure excellence in customer service.
- Ability to maintain effective control of expenses through monthly examination of management accounts to ensure expenditure for the Service Department is in line with budgeted labour sales.
- Drive service core process.
- Custodian of the Service department.
- Cross functional team player.
- Ensure adherence to the Franchise Agreement.
- To adhere to workshop policies and procedures.
- To adhere to FIC and FAIMS policies.
- To take personal responsibilities in complying with company policy on ethical business conduct and behavior and to report any contraventions that could harm the business to the senior management of the company.
- Adhering to Occupational and Safety regulations.

Minimum Qualification/s & Experience Required:

- Matric
- **Qualified Diesel Technician**:

- Relevant post matric qualification in Management will be an advantage
- A **minimum of 10 years’ relevant technical commercial vehicle industry experience is essential.**:

- A **minimum of 5 years of relevant workshop management experience in the commercial vehicle industry.**

**Other Requirements**:

- Valid, unendorsed driver’s license and the ability to competently and legitimately drive.
- Fully computer literate
- Experience in **Drive IA and GA Online**:

- An effective understanding of financial principles, including budgeting and forecasting.
- An effective understanding of relevant technology and systems.
- An effective understanding of the **Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety Acts.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R35,000.00 - R45,000.00 per month

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (required)

**Experience**:

- relevant technical commercial vehicle industry: 10 years (required)
- workshop management commercial vehicle industry.: 5 years (required)
- Drive IA and GA Online: 1 year (required)

License/Certification:

- Diesel Technician Trade Qualification (required)
