**Junior IT Support Job Description**

Blacc Engineering seeks the services of a Jnr IT Support that maintains the computer networks, providing technical support and ensures the whole company runs smoothly. A Jnr IT Support monitors and maintains the company computer systems, installs, and configures hardware and software, and solves technical issues as they arise.

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILTIES**
- Assist with the Management of technology services that meet operational requirements in designated area(s) of the Company.
- Assist with the local implementation of Company's operations, projects, and programs, ensuring alignment of IT services with the business needs of the area(s) and adherence to established project management principles and best management practices.
- Provides technical support on a variety of highly specialized project-related activities requiring expertise in specific technical areas for core information technology systems and services.
- Support the senior personnel with coordination of the IT purchases (hardware, software and services).
- Assist to deliver appropriate training programs associated with ICT.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Taking part in the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, objectives, short
- and long-range IT planning.
- Assisting the Senior IT personnel with the compilation of documentation, implementation of policies and standard operating procedures consistent with those of the organization to ensure effective operation of an organization.
- Support the Senior IT personnel with the development of IT Service Catalog offerings, Service Level Agreements, and Operating Level Agreements consistent with the needs of the organization.
- Sustains currency of knowledge with respect to relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems.
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
- Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
- Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone)
- Setting up accounts for new users
- Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
- Testing new technology

**Minimum Job Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree (Any IT related qualification) ; at least 0-1 year work experience
- Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required**
- Knowledge of current trends and developments in information technology.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
- Ability to develop requests for and evaluate proposals in reference to leading-edge information services technology.
- Ability to provide strategic guidance and counsel to clientele in the assessment and development of existing and/or proposed systems.

**Conditions of Employment**

**Working Conditions and Physical Effort**
- No or very limited physical effort required.
- No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
- Work is normally performed in a typical office work environment.
