**Purpose**:

- Responsible nationally, for overseeing inbound shipments of pharmaceutical products, ensuring accurate scheduling, and optimising efficiency in receiving operations.**Job Objectives**:

- **Supervision and Team Management**:

- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of booking clerks.
- Schedule and allocate tasks to ensure efficient operations and adherence to deadlines
- Conduct training and development sessions to enhance team skills and performance
- **Coordinate Inbound Shipments**:Ensure scheduling and coordination of the receipt of pharmaceutical products from suppliers, ensuring alignment with inventory needs and operational capacity.
- **Communicate with Suppliers**: Ensure regular communication with suppliers to confirm shipment details, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely delivery of products.
- **Optimise Receiving Operations**:Work closely with warehouse personnel to optimise receiving processes, minimise delays, and ensure efficient handling of incoming shipments.
- **Manage Documentation**: Ensure accurate documentation of inbound shipments, including bills of lading, packing slips, and other relevant paperwork, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- **Monitor Inventory Levels**: Collaborate with inventory management team to monitor inventory levels and anticipate future demand, adjusting inbound schedules as necessary to maintain optimal stock levels.
- **Resolve Issues**:Proactively identify and address issues related to inbound shipments, such as delays, shortages, or damaged goods, working with suppliers and internal stakeholders to find solutions.
- **Maintain Compliance**: Adhere to all regulatory requirements and company policies related to inbound logistics, including safety regulations, quality standards, and Good Distribution Practices (GDP).

**Minimum requirements**

**Job related knowledge**:

- Essential: 1 - 3 year buying Administration experience with inbound logistics, scheduling, or supply chain coordination, preferably in the Pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Exposure to a high volume FMCG / Wholesale environment
- Experience in inbound logistics, scheduling, or supply chain coordination, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers, internal teams, and other stakeholders.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards for pharmaceutical distribution preferred.
- Ability to lead a team

**Experience**:

- Essential: Matric
