Au Pair for Two Young Children - Durbanville Area

To provide support to a neurodivergent 6-year-old boy and his 4-year-old sister, fostering their well-being and growth. A special interest in neurodiversity and a commitment to long-term support are crucial.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address the 6-year-old's individual needs.

Offer companionship and emotional support to both children.

Provide support for the 6-year-old's regulation needs, lessening uncertainty and anxiety.

Assist with occasional child pick-up.

Engage in child-led play based on their interests.

Support the understanding of the 6-year-old's sensory profile and executive functioning.

Light housework and assistance with daily tasks.

Prepare lunch and snacks for the children.

Facilitate contextualization of social interactions, support sibling relationships, and provide guidance on social skills.

Support and training from a multidisciplinary team knowledgeable in Neurodiversity.

Valid driver's license and reliable car (Essential).

Fluent in English (Essential).

Fun, playful, and relaxed demeanor with a non-demanding approach.

Previous experience supporting neurodivergent children (Essential).

Familiarity with a low-arousal, child-led, neuro-affirming approach (Essential).

Knowledge of the unique support needs of neurodivergent individuals (Essential).

Understanding of managing challenging behavior and meltdowns (Essential).

Ability to minimize stress and anxiety using a low-arousal approach (Essential).

Strong verbal communication skills (Essential).

Organizational skills and ability to implement structure (Essential).

Social, play, and life skills (Essential).

Relationship-building skills (Essential).

Monday, Wednesday: 13:00-19:00 | Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 12:30-19:00 | During school holidays: +- 6 hours per day.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R11,000.00 - R15,000.00 per month
