SHEQ OFFICER

**Key Accountabilities**

To ensure full compliance to the requirements of the O.H.S act.

Assist with appointments of Health and Safety Reps. Ongoing training and communication to facilitate a safe, hygienic, and healthy work environment

Functions and activities - general administration.

Occupational Health & hygiene inclusive of the battery bay.

Maintain the risk and fulfil requirements in support of the risk department.

Responsible for auditing of all the functions to ensure that the requirements are constantly met at the highest standard.

Co-ordinate functions and training with the group O.H.S officer and the group Risk Manager.

Conduct all SHEQ and Risk training required.

Conduct monthly safety meetings.

Assist Risk Manager if and when required.

Enforce compliance to statutory regulations.

To assist with the induction and training of all new employees.

To promote a positive health and safety culture.

Day to Day Health and Safety issues. Deliver toolbox talks

Monitoring of SHEQ statistics

Recording of PPE issues and monitoring their use

All incidents/accident reported and recorded in accordance with the company policy and legislation

Proactive identification of all risks and appropriate action implemented immediately. All relevant parties informed.

KPI's are being met

Participation on stock take preparation, planning and physical stock count.

To ensure full compliance and implementation to the Global BRC Standards.

Maintain and update SOP within the Warehouse.

Facilities Management

Implement and manage Quality management system

Establish Safety Committees and arrange compliance meetings

Project Management

Manage and maintain SHE management system aligned to ISO 45001/18001 and ISO 14001

Comply with Global H &S Training

Ensuring all contractors, staff and visitors are inducted

Maintain Minimum Safety Standards (MSS) at 100%

Verify Maintenance of Machine handling

Maintain the system for incident reporting management and Corrective Actions Business continuity

**Qualifications, Experience & Attribute**s:
Grade 12 / Matric - Essential
- Excellent Communication (Verbal and Written)
- SAMTRAC/NEBOSH/NOSA
- Health and Safety Qualification
