**VACANCY: 3D ANIMATION FACILITATOR - SAE INSTITUTE**

SAE Institute is seeking a talented and enthusiastic 3D Animation Facilitator to join our esteemed faculty. As a 3D Animation Facilitator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality and engaging lectures, practical demonstrations, and workshops to students pursuing a career in the dynamic field of animation and digital media.

**Responsibilities**:

- Project Supervision: Guide students through the process of creating 3D animation projects, providing constructive feedback and mentorship to enhance their skills and abilities.
- Portfolio Review: Assess and evaluate student work, including animation reels and projects, offering constructive feedback to help them improve their portfolios and prepare for future job opportunities.
- Classroom Instruction: Deliver inspiring and comprehensive lectures on 3D animation principles, techniques, and software tools. Create a dynamic learning environment that encourages student participation and fosters creativity.
- Curriculum Development: Collaborate with the department and instructional design team to develop and update the 3D animation curriculum, ensuring it aligns with industry trends and best practices.
- Industry Networking: Facilitate networking opportunities for students, organising guest lectures, workshops, and industry visits to expose them to professionals and potential employers.
- Research and Innovation: Conduct research and experimentation in animation techniques, tools, and technologies, contributing to the continuous improvement of the college's animation program.
- Faculty Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other faculty members to foster a multidisciplinary approach to media education, encouraging cross-pollination of ideas and projects.
- Adhere to SAE policies and procedures.
- Other related tasks as assigned by the HOA.

**Experience, Education and Competency**:

- Minimum NQF Level 8 qualification (BA Honours) in relevant field
- Experience in the field of 3D animation of a minimum of 2 years is preferred.
- Professional Experience: Significant experience as a 3D Animator and involvement in animation production, with a proven track record of successful animation projects.
- Teaching Experience: Prior experience in teaching screenwriting and film production concepts to students is highly desirable.
