**WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM THE ROLE**

Maintain installed equipment, actively participates in the resolution of equipment breakdowns or issues with installed machinery. Plan for services and spare parts required for services to be carried out well in advance. Improve maintenance standards using Historical data and structured methodologies. Uphold all equipment standards in the factory and utilities. Improve plant performance and standards through continuous improvement initiatives.

**WHAT THE ROLE ENTAILS**

**Health and Safety**
- Uphold legal standards on all equipment in the factory and Utilities Following OHSA standards.

**Main Responsibilities of the Job**
- To operate, fault find and repair all electrical and mechanical equipment and manufacturing lines, auxiliary equipment, power supply networks and lighting of the factory.
- Provide a full technical service on a planned maintenance basis in respect of all equipment installations in working hours and after hours.
- Ensure that the required spare parts are available before servicing of equipment is conducted.
- Complete Job cards and update info accordingly in a timely manner.
- Maintain the administration & documentation aspects of the maintenance department ensuring records are kept up to date and communicated to all concerned.
- Good knowledge in electrical engineering and the ability to diagnose problems in the operation of technological and auxiliary production equipment units.
- Skills of carrying out repairs of various types of electric motors, the ability to use measuring instruments.
- Skilled in reading basic electrical diagrams of various electrical appliances, automation devices.
- Skilled in repairs to all mechanical equipment in the plant, Pumps, Valves, Conveyors, auxiliary bakery, topping and filling equipment.
- Initiating technical service reports identifying technical deviations and initiating necessary actions.
- Ensure all maintenance activities meet EHS and Quality requirements set by the Company Perform root cause analysis and resolve breakdowns or improvements in maintenance.
- Take part in equipment installations and commissioning during modernization and reconstruction of production lines and auxiliary equipment.
- Spare parts stock taking and ensuring communication to reorder when stock parts are used.

**THE PERSON THE ROLE NEEDS**
- Trade Test Certificate (Red seal)
- Millwright
- 5 years post trade experience.
- Basic Knowledge of PLC and VSD drives
- Experience in FMCG industry desirable.
- Knowledge in Conveying and filling
- Basic Knowledge in Pressure Equipment management

**Knowledge in Utilities plants.**
