**Overview**:
The Plant Controller directly supervises and coordinates the activities of production and operating workers, such as packing and/ or blending of products as per the work instructions. The successful incumbent will assist the Site Manager and management with relevant tasks and duties. They are expected to work safely in a chemical environment and follow the company/site rules.

**Qualifications**:

- University (First degree) Preferably a Chemical Engineering Degree

**Experience**:

- Over 3 years to 6 years general experience
- Over 3 to 6 years managerial experience

**Duties**:
Operations Management:
Oversee an operational area with guidance from senior colleagues. Could involve responsibility for development or delivery (or both).

Operating Machine or Equipment:
Operate complex machines and systems, adjusting processes to optimize quality and productivity. Also responsible for generating solutions to complex inefficiencies.

Production Planning:
Contribute data and information to production plans. Run reports, check accuracy, and distribute information.

Leadership and Direction:
Supervise a team performing routine work.

Equipment Installation:
Equipment Maintenance and Repair:
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment for emergency repairs and carry out preventive maintenance routines.

Work Scheduling and Allocation:
Organize own work schedule in order to get the job done, coordinating with support services and assigning short-term tasks to others if necessary.

Health, Safety and Environment:
Follow the organization's HS&E policies, procedures and mandatory instructions; to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the wellbeing of oneself and others in the workplace; instruct the team in safe working methods; identify instances of risky behaviours within the team and take appropriate action, escalating serious issues as appropriate.

Quality:
Plan and coordinate testing and inspection of products and processes. Implement corrective actions or
continuous improvement initiatives and monitoring them to make sure they are effective.

Performance Management:
Prioritise own workflow and ensure work is completed to the required standards of productivity, quality and timeliness, and use performance management systems / TPA to improve personal performance.

Organizational Capability Building:
Provide instruction and informal advice to less experienced colleagues within the team to develop their skills.

Operational Compliance:
Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards. Obtain authorization from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure.
