**Business Development Manager - International Student Recruitment**

The Institute of Health & Management (IHM) is an Australian Higher Education college based in Melbourne with campuses in Sydney, Perth and online. IHM offers bachelor and post-graduate courses in nursing, social work and health as well as English training.

We are expanding our business development team to directly service South Africa. You will join a growing team of business development managers in Australia, South and South-East Asia, Middle East, South America and Africa. As one of the fastest growing education sectors our healthcare courses are attracting students from around the world.

You will have recent experience recruiting students to study in Australia. We offer a supported and autonomous work environment which will suit an experienced education business development executive looking to take the next step, or an experienced business development manager seeking a new challenge to grow a recruitment network in South Africa.

**Position**:
**Job Overview**:
The **Business Development Manager **will oversee all internationalstudent recruitment activities, business development activities, account management and marketing events for direct and B2B channels across South Africa.

You will collaborate with the COO and Head of Sales and Marketing to develop B2B channels and implement marketing and sales strategies to promote international student recruitment for IHM.

**Requirements**:Key Criteria & Qualifications**
- **Essential Criteria**_
- You will have experience with international student recruitment for Higher Education to Australia
- You have an established and relevant agency network and solid relationships with key stakeholders in these agencies
- A solid understanding of industry trends is essential to inform the team on strategic planning and forecasting
- You will have developed and trained education agents on how to promote the brand you represent
- You will have experience sourcing agents from fairs, business trips, enquiries, referrals, in general searches online with business development responsibilities
- You will have experience in generating new revenue from existing streams and agents as well as identifying new opportunities
- You will have a proven track record of assisting in identifying, supporting and developing potential business partners and growing existing client relationships
- You will have experience performing client research including (but not limited to) meeting/engaging with key players in the industry
- You will be a highly motivated character who strives for success in all areas
- You are confident in your delivery of workshops, presentations, holding conferences and being in front of students and agents.
- **Desirable Criteria**_
- CRM or database management experience.
- We will consider applicants who have represented an institution in Australia directly or with significant agency experience for recruitment of students to Australia where you have managed a sub network of agents.

**Location**

Ideally you will be located in Cape Town or the Western Cape and able to travel.

**Reporting Lines**

This position reports to the COO and works with the Head of Sales and Marketing based in Australia and will directly represent the IHM brand.

**Salary**

A competitive salary with bonus and incentives will be offered based on qualifications and experience.

**Salary**: R550,000.00 - R600,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
