**Brief description**

The main purpose of this position is to deliver a high-quality writing, editing and proofreading service to the South African Reserve Bank Group (SARB Group) to protect and promote the professional image and reputation of the SARB Group as an institution of excellence.

**Detailed description**
- Collaborate with the SARB departments and subsidiaries in the SARB Group on turn-around times in performing editorial tasks to the SARB’s high-quality standards and within set deadlines.
- Edit and proofread documents, ensuring that they are coherent, consistent and error-free in terms of grammar, spelling and punctuation.
- Write press releases, articles, speaking notes and other documents.
- Maintain the high-quality standards of production of publications and align all produced content to the set standards and policies.
- Build relationships with clients and continually manage their expectations so that the Editorial Services Unit (ESU) is recognised as a trusted authority that adds value in all matters related to editing and proofreading.
- Maintain and update the SARB Style Guide as well as the ESU’s editorial process and standards document.
- Comply with the SARB Style Guide and the SARB’s Corporate Identity (CI) Manual.
- Provide an English-language advisory service to the SARB Group.
- Provide information to the Team Lead for the purpose of reporting.
