Dispatch Controller

**Qualifications and Experience**

1.1. Matric/ Grade 12
1.2. Min 3 years’ experience in a similar/ relevant role is
preferable
1.4 Ability to speak, read and write English
1.5 Computer literacy (Office, SAGE is preferable)
1.6 Strong numeracy skills
1.7 Ability to work overtime, weekends and public holidays. Own reliable transport is a MUST have.

**Skills and Abilities**

2.1. Dispatch function
2.1.1. Accurately take order from customers who phone through or leave messages.
2.1.2. Complete a daily stock count and update the weekly stock spreadsheet. This is then forwarded on a weekly basis to the operations manager.
2.1.3. Print the daily and weekly picker reports as required.
2.1.4. Consolidate and prepare orders and packing instructions for the pack house.
2.1.5. Accurately dispatch van sales and retailers. Trucks must be sealed after the product quantities are checked to ensure the correct product is loaded and to minimize theft.

2.1.6. Plan drivers’ leave and weekend duties according to requirements.
2.1.7. Assist in the planning of routes and drivers.
2.1.8. Ensure trucks are clean according to requirements as set down by the Company.
2.1.9. Ensure that damage to the trucks are recorded as required as per the system set down by the Operations Manager.
2.1.10. Monitor and arrange the services of trucks and
cooling systems as per the Operations Manager.
2.1.11. Assist with Operations Manager with the order
and reconciliation of all crates for Pick n Pay
deliveries.
2.1.12. Assist the Operations Manager with control of the
drivers’ overtime.
2.1.13. Complete weekly wages if the Operations
Manager is not available.
2.1.14. Answer telephones and assist Sales and
Production with stock requirements and
shortages.
2.1.15. Attend meetings when required.
2.1.16. Liaise with production and sales on a daily basis
to ensure that customers’ orders can be fulfilled
as best possible at the required delivery times.
2.1.17. Monitor stock rotation and report inconsistencies
to the Operations Manager.
2.1.18. Manage the dispatching function ensuring that
records are captured correctly and the correct
stock is dispatched.
2.1.19. Ensure that returns are correctly checked and that
they are converted/ discarded where applicable.

**Salary**: R10,000.00 - R13,000.00 per month
