**Logistics Specialist**

Job Summary:
Experience in handling fertiliser imports and iron ore exports will be an added advantage.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Prepare** and submit accurate and competitive quotes for the import and export of iron ore and fertilizers, including all associated logistics costs, such as transportation, customs clearance, and insurance.

**Ensure** all documentation is in order and compliant with customs regulations and requirements for both importing and exporting.

**Liaise** with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods.

**Manage** and oversee the entire logistics process, from the point of origin to the point of destination, ensuring all parties involved are fully informed and updated on the progress of the shipment.

Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate risk management strategies to minimize potential losses and damages.

**Maintain** accurate records and documentation of all logistics activities and transactions.

**Provide **excellent customer service, building and maintaining relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in logistics, with a focus on the export of iron ore and fertilizer imports.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations and requirements, as well as transportation and supply chain management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Experience with logistics software and technology is a plus.
