**A client in a banking sector seeks to add x2 SENIOR PROJECT MANAGERS WITH AGILE EXPERTISE to join their team on a 6-month rolling contract.**

**Job Title**: Project Manager with Agile experience

**Duration**: 6 Month - Contract role (Renewable)

**Work Location**: Johannesburg

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- **Leading and managing agile projects**: Overseeing the entire project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, while ensuring adherence to Agile principles and methodologies.
- **Collaborating with stakeholders**: Facilitating communication and collaboration between the project team, business stakeholders, and other departments within the bank to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
- **Defining project goals and scope**: Working with business stakeholders to clearly define project goals, scope, deliverables, and success criteria, and translating them into actionable project plans.
- **Developing and maintaining project documentation**: Creating and managing project documentation, including project plans, schedules, risk and issue registers, resource allocation, status reports, and other necessary artifacts.
- **Managing project resources**: Identifying and allocating the required resources, including human resources, equipment, and budget, to ensure the successful execution of the project.
- **Facilitating Agile ceremonies**: Conducting Agile ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, to keep the project team aligned, address issues, and ensure continuous improvement.
- **Monitoring project progress**: Tracking and monitoring project progress against the defined metrics, timelines, and milestones, identifying any deviations, risks, or issues, and taking corrective actions as required.
- **Stakeholder management**: Managing relationships with key stakeholders and keeping them informed about project progress, risks, and dependencies, while ensuring their engagement and support throughout the project lifecycle.
- **Coaching and mentoring the project team**: Supporting and guiding the project team members in understanding and practicing Agile methodologies and best practices, fostering a self-organizing and empowered team environment.
- **Continuous improvement**: Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing lessons learned to enhance the Agile project management practices within the bank's project management framework.

**QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS**:

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Management, or Project Management.
- Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM).
- Knowledge and understanding of banking industry processes and regulations.
- Additional certifications specific to the banking environment, such as Certified Financial Services Auditor (CFSA), may be advantageous.

- Extensive experience in project management, particularly in an Agile environment using methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring effective planning, execution, and delivery of projects within defined timelines and budgets.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to guide and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at various levels within the bank.
- Proficiency in using project management tools and software to manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic banking environment.
- Knowledge of Agile principles and practices, including user story development, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
- Understanding of software development processes and lifecycle, as well as experience in working with development teams.
- Ability to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies during project execution.

**PACKAGE & REMUNERATION**:

- Will be agreed based on qualifications, applicable banking experience and previous earnings.
