Creditors Clerk

A vacancy for a **Creditors Clerk / Accounts Payable **become available at a retail company based in Paarden Island. The role requires the incumbent to be organized, detail orientated and have good communication skills. You must have a strong financial background with at least 3 years of relevant work experience and a degree or diploma in Bookkeeping or credit Management. The person must be able to work well under pressure and be able to multitask. The company uses pastel accounting package.

The position is a full time, in office position based in Paarden Eiland. You must have a clear credit history and positive reference letter from your last 2 employers. They are looking for someone to start soonest so if you are available immediately this will be an advantage.

**Job Purpose**

Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

1. Processing creditors and outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures

2. Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts payable data

3. Preparing vendor bills, Invoices with verification to good received notes

4. Accurate allocation of expenses

5. Process of weekly and monthly payment runs with supporting packs / recons

6. Completing and collating payment packs for foreign payments

7. Creditors liaison for all creditor source documents, statements, remittances and queries

8. Execute an accurate weekly ageing analysis with all accounts matched correctly

9. Supporting the Company Finance Manager with given tasks

**Qualifications, Educational Requirements and Skills**

1. Financial background.

2. Excellent organizational and time management skills.

3. Degree / Diploma relating to Bookkeeping or Credit Management.

4. Excellent ability to multi-task.

5. Detail-oriented and High ethical values

6. Computer Literate

7. Excellent interpersonal abilities.

8. Pastel Accounting system (Advantageous)

**Salary**: R14,000.00 - R16,000.00 per month
