The DTO will define, own and implement how data will be consumed, stored, integrated and managed to meet the strategic business requirements. Responsibilities consumption and dissemination, modelling, database architecture, data flow, metadata definition, repository creation, integration management, data processing and transformation, data visualisation, as well as enabling governance and risk management. The DTO will ultimately own the Data Technology stack acquisition, design, implementation, and support and enablement of the governance and management of data that flows through it.

**Operational Delivery**

Rollout of Data Strategy

Updating Data Strategy

Responsible for designing data solutions, aligned with customer requirements for projects initiated by supported lines of business in coordination with other technical departments

Responsible for the management, design and delivery of Data Capabilities; Data Architecture and data tooling.

Responsible for design and implementation of data modelling

Responsible for ETL/ELT, Data Ingestion, Data Validation and Data Quality in the data pipeline.

Responsible for designing and preparing the data dictionary and data catalogue related to the data model.

Implementation and hands-on management of market leading ETL/BI tools.

Release Management (Dev to Prod).

Analyses business and proposal data and technical requirements to develop a wide range of data related products in cloud and traditional Technologies.

Assists project team with requirements completion and submittal of responses to RFPs

Prepares design specifications, analyses and recommendations based on customer requirements.

Participate in the design, development, planning, modification and/or improvement of existing data and analytical systems.

Research system designs, concepts, feasibility and enhancement solutions utilizing advanced technical theory and knowledge.

Partners with project team to complete technical design documents

Produce Data Standards, monitoring and remediation thereof.

**Technical Leadership**

Methodology Experience, Agile/Kanban, DMBOK, DataOps, MLOps

Good knowledge of Shell & general Scripting.

Technical experience on Streaming technologies implementations. Preferred is Kafka.

Technical experience of ETL orchestration and management

Cloud Experience: Azure/AWS/Google/IBM/Snowflake. Preferred is AWS.

Participate in Practise lead and Community lead forums and initiatives

Lead technical delivery across squads and provide oversight of solutions

Share technology knowledge and practical experience with community

Challenge and contribute to development of architectural principals and patterns

Support Data Chapter (decentralized function) and Data Governance (central function) with technical expertise and driving capabilities for business needs

**Compliance**

Ensure solutions adhere to company patterns, guidelines and standards

Operate within project environments and participate in continuous improvement efforts

**Delivery Management**

Follow and participate in defined ways of work including, but not limited to, sprint planning,

Backlog grooming, retrospectives, demos and PI planning

**Requirements**:
Experience of developing solutions in the cloud. AWS preferred. Experience in developing data warehouses and data marts Experience in Data Vault and Dimensional modelling techniques Experience working in a high availability DataOps environment Experience working with streaming technologies Minimum 7 years in a BI/Analytics environment, of which at least 4 years must have been in cloud environments

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or similar fields like Information Systems, Big Data, etc.
