Senior Technical Officer: Core Networks

**Role Purpose/Business Unit**:
**Your responsibilities will include**:

- To ensure that all network elements are monitored on a 24/7 basis.
- Monitor, analyze, and drive resolution of incidents according to Fault Handling and Escalation Procedures.
- Communicate service disruptions to relevant stakeholders timeously
- Conduct proactive intervention including routine tests
- Manage and compile reports
- Perform call flow traces to isolate failure causes
- Participate in department projects
- Provide support to mobile access network and transport.

**Must have technical/professional qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 2 years experience in Telecommunications / IT or relevant courses with 2 years experience
- Previous experience working in a Network Operations Centre is highly preferred
- Experienced with Incident and Problem Management practices and processes.
