**The IIE Varsity College, Cape Town Campus has a vacancy for a Lecturer (Part-Time) for the following module**:

- Applied Communication

**Job Purpose**:

- Lecture based on provided content, ensure students are guided and supported in their learning. Mark student submissions and engage with campus teaching and learning.

**Key Performance Areas**:

- Prepare for lectures based on provided content. Supplement content with own expertise. Deliver assigned modules to the stated outcomes and contracted hours. Mark student assessments and provide constructive feedback. Perform academic admin, such as capturing assessment marks and reporting on student success. Provide content feedback. Engage with professional development opportunities and attend initial training sessions.

**Minimum Qualification Requirements**:
**Ideally**:

- Honours in Communication Science
- Honours in Media Studies
- Honours in English
- Honours in Journalism
- Honours in one of the writing fields

**Alternatively**:

- Honours in one of the Applied Humanities fields with Communication Science up to third year degree level
- Honours in one of the Applied Humanities fields with Media Studies/Journalism in undergraduate up to third year degree level
- An Honours in one of the Applied Humanities fields with Communication in undergraduate
- BBK 4-year degree in Business Communication
- BJourn 4-year degree in Journalism
- Any other four-year professional degree in a Journalism or any other writing field

**Working Conditions**:
