**Position**:Finance/Reporting Controller

**Role overview**:
Are you a meticulous finance professional with expertise in financial analysis and reporting? Stonechat Search is seeking a Finance/Reporting Controller in Cape Town on behalf of our innovative property development client. In this role, you'll play a vital role in analysing financial feasibilities, managing cash flow, and overseeing operational aspects across various projects and departments.

**Primary responsibilities**:

- Conduct financial analysis on project feasibilities, profit returns, and cost efficiencies.
- Oversee cash flow management, including tracking, forecasting, and budget monitoring.
- Manage project bank draws, VAT submissions, and revenue tracking.
- Provide oversight on audit management, trial balances, and accounting system enhancements.
- Develop and implement innovative reporting systems to effectively communicate financial data.
- Compile comprehensive reporting packs for leadership, management, and shareholders.

**Skills and experience**:

- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Degree in Finance or Accounting non-negotiable.
- Xero and Syft accounting software experience non-negotiable.
- CA (SA) or CIMA qualification preferred.
- Construction-related experience preferred.
- Must love a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- A highly-organised individual who is responsible for managing tasks on their own.
- Hard-worker, efficient, deadline-focused, high attention to detail, and strong ability to self-review work.
- Incredibly neat and have extensive experience with reporting pack compilations.
- Must be good with people and work well in a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 suite (Outlook, Teams, Office).
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, complex if formulas).

**Additional details**:

- The interview process involves an initial consultation with Stonechat Search, followed by a task submission from the client as part of a 3-stage interview process.
- Full-time position based in Cape Town.
