**What you will enjoy doing**:

- Overall line responsibility from production to packaging:

- Start / Stop the machine
- Monitor material control
- Perform regular quality control throughout the shift and visual quality checks
- Prepare machine for mould change
- Ensure goods are produced in correct quantity and in accordance with agreed specifications
- Accurately record goods produced and problems encountered during shift
- Assist Machine Operator II/Shift Supervisor/Mould Change Team with mould/colour changes as needed
- Ensure team works together as efficiently as possible
- Maintain good housekeeping in and around the machine and within department
- Oversee daily production, supports the plant engineers to ensure machines run efficiently
- Assist the Production Manager in implementing required training for Machine Operators
- Responsible for Quality and Food Safety Management when food contact product is produced in the plant. To report any risks identified.
- Ensure on-going awareness of Quality, Food Safety, Environmental and Health and Safety Management

**What makes you great**:

- Matric/ Grade 12 or equivalent with Mathematics, is preferred
- Technical/mechanical background in Plastics Industry preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Demonstrated mechanical ability
- Must have flexible work availability
