**Position Title: Head of Department - Creative**

**Reporting to: Director**

**Based at: Midrand Head Office**

**Job Purpose and Overview**:
The purpose of this role is to oversee the organisations creative strategy and drive client deliverables through the team. This role reports to the Director of the organisation and is a Snr Management position. The role works closely with the digital operations strategic team as well as the sales team. This role will report on targets, oversea budgets and operate at a high level in order to assist to drive the company’s strategy and revenue forward.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Creative Manager leads and Directs the design and production of Visual & Audio Materials and media used for advertising, broadcast and web communications.
- Team Management (Creative Team: Designer, Audio Visual Designer, Editor, Photographer, Videographer)
- Establish and implement design and format standards and processes to produce consistent and high quality results
- Strong Understanding of Creative Tools (EG: Adobe Creative Suite)
- Knowledgeable on the Business Side of Design
- Select external vendors, approve and coordinate projects
- Ensure that project /Department targets are met by adhering to approved budgets
- Full authority on personnel actions and deliverables
- Assist and manage the creative process from concept to completion
- Translate marketing objectives into clear creative strategies
- Oversee the big idea and bringing it to life through to the smallest details
- Work closely with multidisciplinary project teams - Digital Operations & Business Operations
- Lead and direct the creative team in the production of all marketing collateral
- Ensure visual communication and brand standards are met
- Manage client pitches and proposals
- Manage sellable line items, profitability, deliverables, timelines and budgets
- Meet with clients & upper management to explain campaign strategies and solutions
- Review work, troubleshoot and provide feedback to creative teams
- Remain actively involved in hiring and training creative staff
- Manage and cultivate the career development of staff members
- Roll up your sleeves and create
- Work as a team player ready to take on any project that may come into the internal agency
- Conceptual thinker with solid design skills

**Experience**
- A proven track record of at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role for a bigger or similar sized organisation

**Qualifications**
- A tertiary qualification in an office administration field is preferable however experience will override
- Creative qualifications in field of expertise at a tertiary level

**Salary**: R30,000.00 - R40,000.00 per month
