- Minimum RequirementsAn appropriate National Diploma or B Degree (or equivalent qualification); A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in at a managerial level; A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence.
- Recommendation5 years management experience in a similar mechanical environment. 3 years relevant experience in administratoin, finance and HR support.
- Key Performance AreasEnsure effective general management and financial accounting; Effective supply chain management and fleet administration; Coordinate all human resource services; Plan the budget and manage expenditure to achieve unit objectives; People management; Manage the financial matters of the division.
- Competencies**Knowledge of the following**: Proven knowledge of relevant public service legislation, policies, regulations, guidelines, etc; Proven knowledge of Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), National Treasury Regulations,; Provincial Treasury Instructions, financial delegations and best practice in the Public Sector; Proven knowledge of financial accounting, management accounting, scm, fleet administration, HR and general support services; Proven knowledge of public service procedures, processes and systems; Proven knowledge of Information, Database and Records Management; Proven knowledge of Human Resource Management legislation, policies, regulations, strategies, frameworks, directives, guidelines, best practices, codes, collective agreements, etc. as manager of the Sub-Directorate; Proven knowledge of the Staff Performance Management System (SPMS) and PERMIS; Proven knowledge of the Disciplinary Code and Procedures and Grievance Procedures for the Public Service; Proven knowledge of Labour Relations legislation and regulations

- RemunerationR R 811 560 per annum (Salary Level 11)
Note on remuneration: Cost-to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for certain occupation-specific dispensations (OSD), the middle-management service (MMS) and contract positions are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations including basic salary, 13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc. MMS remuneration packages are flexible and may be individually structured as prescribed. Where remuneration is not indicated as CTE, employees' service benefits or obligations are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
