**What are we looking for?**
We are looking for someone with the following experience, qualifications and /or skillsets:

- Degree in Education
- SACE registered
- 3 to 5 years Managerial Experience

Advantageous
- Hon. Degree Educational Leadership and Management
- School Management Team experience

**The responsibilities are**:
School Business Planning and management
- Development of annual business and strategic plan including forecasted learner target numbers, as aligned CURRO head office strategy and Executive Head overall plan across the Campuses.
- Oversee the cascading of plans into individual departments and monitoring of progress.
- Disseminating and management of the CURRO group Ethos and values throughout the school
- Overall management and review of sport and cultural activities and planning
- Monitoring and review of academic achievements against targets through-out the year
- Planning of community awareness programmes, outreach programmes and calendar events
- Management and implementation of social responsibility programmes
- Achievement of customer retention targets
- Oversee and maintain relevant school data on school system.
- Oversee Marketing of the school in conjunction with Curro Design and Marketing Guidelines
- Oversee the facilities of the school and management of maintenance including purchase orders, assets registers, insurance (claims)and stock taking.
- Manage and maintain the brand image of the school.
- Manage and maintain the capacity of registration (I.e., Umalusi) of the school and ensure utilisation of full capacity.
- Implementing of policies and procedures as specifically related to the High school as per needs of school (playground duty policy, dress code, discipline, awards etc.)
- Representation of the High School on the Parent Advisory committee (PAC)
- Select and manage external service providers including contract negotiations and recommendations to Executive Head
- Management of Service Level agreements of suppliers

Management of leadership programmes
- Management of student leadership programmes and fund raising

School financial Management
- Develop and manage the annual budget across the school.
- Oversee and manage financial elements of the school.
- Management of Applicable payroll

School planning and academics
- Collate year planner across the school.
- Create the overall timetable across the school.
- Review all curriculums and assessment to ensure alignment to IEB standards.
- Implementation and management of CURRO work-schemes and value add programmes as relevant to differing phases.
- Oversee phase heads management of work schemes, themes, excursions, enrichment and training.
- Create and distribute termly plans and ensure that plans are consistent and relevant across phases.
- Create process for observation and class visits to review for consistency and quality of teaching.
- Oversee fair distribution of duties across staff.
- Management and distribution of all communication via online communication platform

Health, Safety and Security Management
- Manage and oversee all Health and Safety requirements as per the Curro Policies and Procedures

Assessments and reporting
- Setting up of assessment timetable as aligned to CURRO CCMD (Common Assessments) schedule and IEB standards.
- Review of all assessments (pre and post)
- Review and sign off all reports and overall reporting of school performance.
- Check promotion schedules and provide motivations to Executive Head
- Compile trend analysis reports of systemic tests and identify problem areas and reevaluate remedial actions

Staff management and mentoring
- Recruitment and selection of new staff within salary budget
- Mentoring and management of Staff
- Staff appraisals
- Management of disciplinary issues and then referral to HR if required with Executive Head
- Mediation between staff and parents in the event of issues
- Management of leave allocations (open throughout the year)
- Management and remediation of absenteeism
- Development of staff, planning of targets and compile skills development plan
- Manage staff retention.
- Plan and achievement of Employment Equity targets across the school

Management, Interventions and discipline
- Play a pastoral role and mentor staff in pastoral duties.
- Implement policies and procedures of CURRO.
- Management of disciplinary processes at the school with Executive Head
- Management of interventions regarding learner discipline and monitoring of intervention plans
- Review of academic needs and set up interventions and individualised plans for learners

Learning Area / Class management
