- REPORTING TO THE PLANNING & MATERIALS MANAGER- JOB PURPOSE To manage and control inventory and related warehouses/areas as well as stock reporting systems.- JOB FUNCTION:
- Inventory Control:
- Strive for 95% cycle count accuracy- Manage the logístical aspects of product life cycles and minimise slow moving stock- Manage monthly stock count process and maintain min/max stock levels- Resolve negative stock quantities prior to stock count run- Investigate and report on variances in time- Determine task and resource requirements to ensure high standards of inventory management- Maintain stack value to increase stock turns- Managed Team:
- Manage and report on Inventory departmental issues - Adhere to Company HR and Disciplinary policy - Communicate and manage policies, standards and procedures for the work performed in the department - Identify training needs for team and action as required - Meet department cost savings target- Customer Service:]- Meet customer expectations as per service level agreement - Address internal and external customer queries in time - Action customer complaints to customer satisfaction - Aim for 90% delivery accuracy on local customers and 95% on export customers- Quality and Safety Management:
- Adhere to quality and safety standards and procedures daily - Maintain housekeeping daily - Maintain due for dates for incidents and innovations - Reduce waste through continuous improvement- Supplier Management:
- Manage concerns with regards to capacity/ service of suppliers with procurement department - Assist Inventory Controllers with the expediting of all suppliers - Negotiate lead times with suppliers on standard/project orders - Support procurement with process/product queries - Negotiate delivery dates for standard and critical orders-
**Inherent Requirements**
- QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12, Logistics Management Diploma or similar- At least 5 years related experience in an operational/manufacturing environment including at least 2 years supervisory experience- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook) and JDE would be advantageous- Displays a good understanding of the principles, practices and procedures related to inventory- Applies continuous improvement, problem solver, can build a successful team, good communication, planning and organising skills, quality and safety orientated**What Qualification**
- Logistics Management Diploma or similar
