As a Specialist Systems Analyst, you will play a pivotal role as a problem solver and visionary, facilitating business change within an agile environment as part of the End-to-End Analysis Competency. Your primary responsibilities will include defining, researching, and exploring existing and future technologies to design and manage system requirements for Glacier projects. Additionally, you will deliver solutions that are future-oriented, efficient, and provide significant business value across all business and IT domains.

Key Outcomes

The Specialist Systems Analyst will be expected to achieve the following outcomes:

  1. Understand Business Needs: Analyse and comprehend business requirements related to potential changes or transformations.
  2. Build Key Relationships: Foster positive connections with stakeholders, including business owners, product owners, development teams, trainers, and users.
  3. Advise on Best Outcomes: Serve as a trusted advisor, providing insights on optimal solutions for business problems or initiatives.
  4. Facilitate Workshops: Lead work-sessions, database design, and solution workshops to gather information and finalize requirements.
  5. Document System Requirements: Clearly identify and document system functional and non-functional requirements in an easily understandable manner.
  6. Produce Models and Diagrams: Create data, activity models, component flow, functional decomposition, and data flow diagrams using tools like Enterprise Architect and Confluence.
  7. Implement Best Practices: Document and enforce best practices, standards, and guidelines to ensure solutions align with group architecture principles.
  8. Consider Non-Functional Requirements: Address system characteristics such as security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability in product design.
  9. Present Future-Fit Solutions: Demonstrate solutions through walk-throughs and prototyping to analysts, project managers, architects, development teams, and testers, aiding in story estimations and prioritization.
  10. Implement and Test Solutions: Oversee the implementation, testing, and deployment of solutions.
  11. Support Business Transition: Assist in business transitions by transferring knowledge to users, trainers, and peers.
  12. Enhance Analysis Framework: Continuously research, develop, improve, and implement the analysis framework.
  13. Provide Regular Feedback: Offer consistent feedback to relevant stakeholders.
  14. Post-Implementation Support: Provide ongoing support to both business and IT post-implementation.
  15. Work with Agile Teams: Collaborate with an agile team using the scrum framework.
  16. Mentor and Coach: Guide and support other business and systems analysts.
  17. Take Initiative and Innovate: Proactively explore new technologies and foster innovation to enhance solutions and processes.
What Will Make You Successful in This Role?

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. B.Com. B.Sc. in Information Technology or Informatics or any other formal qualification as a Systems Analyst.
  2. + 5 years as Developer in multiple development languages would be advantageous.
  3. + 3 years Systems Analysis experience.
  4. + 3 years' experience in Financial Services industry (LISP / Wealth / Asset management experience advantageous).
  5. Must have C# experience.
  6. Must have SQL experience.
  7. Must have open API design patterns and modelling tools experience.
  8. Must have documentation of Entity Relational Diagrams experience.
  9. Must have SCRUM and other Agile methodologies experience.
  10. Experience with UI/UX system design and integration would be greatly advantageous.
  11. Strong Data Analysis skills would be greatly advantageous.
  12. Experience with Domain Driven Design would be advantageous.
  13. Experience in Design Thinking principles would be advantageous.
  14. Experience in doing documentation in Confluence would be advantageous.
  15. Experience in drawing diagrams in Enterprise Architect (EA Sparx) would be advantageous.
