Asset Librarian

We are seeking a meticulous and tech-savvy Asset Librarian to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will manage our digital asset management (DAM) system, ensuring smooth operations in the organization, retrieval, and distribution of digital media assets. The Asset Librarian will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our rich library of visual and video assets and will work closely with various departments to support their asset needs.

1. Digital Asset Management:
   1. Manage and operate our DAM platform to ensure efficient storage and retrieval of digital assets.
   2. Perform regular audits to ensure all assets are correctly uploaded, tagged, and categorized.
   3. Ensure compliance with established naming conventions, file types, and file size requirements.
   4. Oversee both the upload and download processes for visual and video assets, maintaining quality control and consistency.
2. Compliance and Standards:
   1. Assess files to ensure adherence to organizational standards and protocols.
   2. Identify and correct non-compliant assets to maintain high standards of digital organization.
3. Asset Retrieval and Distribution:
   1. Facilitate the effective searching and retrieval of assets for the studio team and other departments.
   2. Respond efficiently to requests for specific visuals and file types, ensuring timely delivery of necessary files.
4. Collaboration and Communication:
   1. Work closely with creative, marketing, and production teams to understand their digital asset needs.
   2. Provide training and support to team members on the use of the DAM platform as needed.
5. Continuous Improvement:
   1. Evaluate current digital asset management processes and recommend enhancements for improved efficiency.
   2. Stay updated on trends in DAM technology and best practices to maintain an innovative and user-friendly system.

• Experience in a media, advertising, or creative studio environment is a plus.
• Knowledge of content management systems and cloud storage solutions.
• Basic understanding of copyright and licensing issues related to digital assets.
• Proven experience with digital asset management platforms and systems.
• Strong understanding of digital file types, formats, naming conventions, and file size optimization.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with metadata standards and best practices in digital asset management.
