Role Purpose

The Product Owner of Service: Automation, Data and Optimisation will be responsible to drive the shift from the current Service model to the Future Service model by continuously identifying opportunities for automation and optimisation within the business. The Product Owner needs to have a holistic understanding of the proposed changes and ensure that the associated business value is understood and supported by clear measurements. The proposed benefits need to be supported by the relevant data products/dashboards that can clearly quantify and display the impact.

It is important to ensure that the opportunities identified and implemented are aligned to RISO strategic objectives and that they support both RISO's Future of Service model and the Target Operating model.

RequirementsQualifications:
  • Relevant qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related (essential)
  • Relevant progression certificates (such as Agile/LEAN) (advantageous)
  • Scrum Certified Product Owner (advantageous)
Experience
  • At least 2 years' relevant experience as a Product Owner or Product Consultant (essential)
  • At least 5 years' relevant experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, Business Support/Technical Specialist (essential)
  • Experience of managing projects, BAU work and product road map prioritisation (essential)
  • Exposure to diverse IT solution implementation in a variety of environments (desirable)
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify and gather automation and optimisation opportunities from internal and external stakeholders, reports, Incidents and data/stats.
  • Define the Service: Automation, Data and Optimisation product vision and measure business value.
  • Anticipate Service's needs by analysing the trends within RISO.
  • Planning and impact mapping of proposed changes/quickwins.
  • Business Case compilation.
  • Prioritisation and sequencing of changes/quickwins taking scope, budget, and time into consideration.
  • Oversee development stages and/or product ceremonies, if applicable.
  • Act as primary liaison i.e., primary communicator between stakeholders and other teams.
  • Evaluate and report on progress regularly to ensure that the team is still on track to meet the business value.
  • Ensure that the proposed changes are implemented consistently across the 4 platforms and various segments, where applicable.
  • Engage and collaborate with all the relevant Product owners and supporting areas to ensure that the proposed change/quickwins are properly understood.
  • Ensure that the business value identified is measurable and reportable.
  • Liaise with the Lead: Initiative implementation to ensure that the impact is understood and communicated across the relevant the teams.
  • Track the associated business value per initiative.
  • Facilitate impediment resolution should any challenges be identified.
  • Collaborate with L&D and/or the Communication teams thereby providing content for the change/quickwin.
  • Active collaboration with RISO Manco members and/or Portfolio Heads to ensure that the focus is on the correct initiatives.
  • Ensure that change initiatives are aligned to RISO's strategic objectives.
