Purpose : To design, implement, and optimize the Supply Chain Management (SCM) module within the Sage ERP suite.
The role involves analyzing procurement, inventory, and logistics business requirements, configuring SCM solutions, and providing functional application support.
Key Responsibilities :- Functional SCM System Support
Provide 2nd and 3rd line functional support to procurement, logistics, and inventory management teams.
Optimize the SCM system platform to improve supply chain efficiency.
Offer specific support during month-end and year-end inventory reconciliation.
Provide on-the-job training for supply chain and procurement users. - SCM Functional Design & Implementation
Plan, lead, and participate in the design, configuration, and testing of Sage SCM solutions.
Develop business requirement documents (BRDs) and other SCM-related functional / technical documentation.
Identify functional gaps in supply chain processes and recommend corrective actions.
Implement solutions to streamline procurement, inventory management, and order fulfilment workflows.
Work closely with procurement, logistics, and finance teams to align business needs with system capabilities. - SCM System Optimization
Collaborate with Functional Business Process Owners (BPOs) to align Sage SCM with business requirements.
Prioritize and implement system enhancements related to procurement, warehouse management, and supplier tracking.
Conduct integration and system testing for SCM workflows.
Work alongside business analysts and developers to convert supply chain requirements into technical designs.
Identify functional gaps in inventory control, procurement automation, and vendor management. - Project Involvement
Actively participate in IT projects related to supply chain digital transformation.
Lead the SCM stream during Sage ERP implementations.
Ensure project deliverables meet business expectations and regulatory compliance.
Support project teams in developing SCM reports, tables, data interfaces, and system integrations. - Documentation & Compliance
Create and manage SCM-related documentation, including user manuals, procurement workflows, system changes, and test scenarios.
Ensure functional and technical specifications align with Enterprise Architecture (EA) and procurement policies.
Maintain audit trails and compliance documentation for procurement and supplier management.
- B Degree / B Tech in Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Sage SCM Functional Certification.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in ERP implementation, with a focus on supply chain and procurement.
- Strong expertise in Sage SCM, including inventory control, procurement, order management, and supplier tracking.
- Ability to translate supply chain business requirements into system configurations.
- Experience in inventory optimization, procurement automation, and warehouse management.
- Understanding of supplier performance tracking, logistics, and compliance regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and training skills to support procurement and warehouse teams.
- Experience in SCM integration testing, business analysis, and enterprise supply chain application support.
