Our client, a dynamic and expanding urban logistics provider, is searching for a Professional Code 10 Delivery Specialist to join their team in the bustling area of Randburg, Gauteng . This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of goods within a complex urban environment. Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Code 10 vehicle for daily deliveries across the Randburg metropolitan area and surrounding suburbs.
- Ensure all deliveries are made accurately, safely, and within the specified timeframes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, including proof of delivery signatures and any relevant notes.
- Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring they are secured for transport.
- NAVIGATE urban traffic efficiently, utilizing GPS and local knowledge to optimize routes.
- Provide excellent customer service during all delivery interactions, acting as a professional representative of Our client.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Report any delivery challenges, customer complaints, or incidents immediately to the dispatch team.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the vehicle's cargo area.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route progress and any delays.
Requirements
- Valid South African Code 10 driver's license.
- Valid Professional Driver's Permit (PDP).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in professional driving, with specific experience in urban delivery environments.
- Clean driving record.
- Good knowledge of the road networks in Randburg and the wider Gauteng area.
- Familiarity with urban logistics and delivery challenges.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Physical fitness for loading and unloading duties.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as required by operational demands.
- Proficiency in using navigation tools.
