We are looking for a Senior HR Manager to lead the HR function in South Africa for our growing Operations Center.

The HR Sr. Manager will be part of the Global HR team as a generalist and business partner role.

In addition, will take the lead for projects assigned to lead a winning culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HR Strategy & Compliance: Act as the primary HR leader in South Africa, ensuring all HR practices comply with local labor laws (BCEA, LRA, EE Act, OHSA, POPIA).
  • Develop, implement, and localize HR policies, procedures, and processes in alignment with global HR standards.
  • Advise senior leadership on HR risks, compliance matters, and best practices.
  • Lead labor relations, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and CCMA representation.
  • Ensure compliance with EE & B-BBEE reporting, workplace safety, and employment equity obligations.
  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Manage end-to-end recruitment for the South African team, ensuring a strong talent pipeline; collaborate with the Global HR team for recruitment.
  • Develop and implement a structured onboarding program to integrate new employees efficiently.
  • Partner with the global HR team to align talent acquisition strategies with business objectives.
  • Employee Relations & Engagement: Serve as the go-to HR expert for all employee-related matters, providing advice and resolution on workplace issues.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture, aligned with global values. Implement engagement initiatives, pulse surveys, and feedback mechanisms to enhance employee experience.
  • Drive performance management, coaching managers to conduct effective appraisals and development conversations.
  • HR Operations & Global Collaboration: Manage HR administration, including payroll support, contracts, and benefits in coordination with external providers.
  • Work closely with the global HR team to align South African HR policies with global strategies and initiatives.
  • Contribute to HR reporting, analytics, and workforce planning to support business growth. Lead local HR projects, such as learning and development, DE&I initiatives, and process improvements.
  • Support global CE team to reach the business target by implementing HR initiatives guided by the global management team.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of HR experience, including 3+ years in a senior HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of South African employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience managing HR operations independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment (preferably a contact center).
  • Proven expertise in employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance.
  • Ability to balance local HR needs while working within a global HR framework.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across different time zones and cultures.
  • Hands-on, proactive approach with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience with HRIS, payroll systems, and HR analytics.
